I See Info On Buses From Everywhere But Los Angeles. I Want To Go But I Do Not Have Money For A Plane Ticket. I Want My Children To Participate And To Understand From First Hand Experience What Is Happening. My Youngest Son Has A Brain Tumor And Medical Bills And Living Expenses Being What They Are As Well As The State Of Being A Single Parent, Who Has A Deadbeat For A Ex., Does Not Leave Me A Lot Of Extra Funds. Guys, lets be smart!..I'm seeing Hotels listed as SOLD OUT! are WE CRAZY!!! why are we going to Jena to propel there economy. I'll be there, but I wont be spending a dime! I'm packing lunch for my wife and I and we are departing afterwards, NO GAS, NO FOOD, NO WATER...PLEASE lets be smart about our actions. Peace and love FAMILY

Hotels in Alexandria will not benefit Jena. I'm from Louisiana and quite familar with the area.

you are so right there is no need to spend the night and they benefit from us spending boosting there economy instead take that extra money and take somebody else with you to make a stand example single parents who dont have the money to go but want to go

I am from Baltimore so going down and coming right back is not an option for me. I will not be spending any money in Jena. I will stay in Alexandria and bring drinks and snacks with me into Jena. From posts I have read by the LA folks, Jena is definitely not getting anything from Alexandria.

Found a Best Western in Winnfield, LA; it's North of Alexandria and West of Jena. Also try the city of Natchitoches, LA; it's west of Alexandria.

MOST HOTELS IN ANY AREA ARE NORMALLY OWNED BY A CHAIN.. SO EVEN IF YOU DONT STAY AT A HOTEL IN JENNA WHITE PEOPLE ARE BENEFITING...
