Mychal Bell Inmate, A-Dorm LaSalle Correctional Center 15976 Highway 165 Olla, LA 71465-4801 Mychal's Mom Melissa was on the show and sent Mychal's thanks, gratitude and appreciation for all of the letters of encouragement. He would like to write back but unfortunately a book of stamps costs $42. Rather than him use his limited funds on stamps. If you are writing and would like a response kindly enclose (now this is old school) a SASE (or self addressed stamped envelope). Thank you! Although a lot of organizations are collecting donations, the legal defense teams and not getting the funds and the lawyers are having to spend their own money to help this young men. Good Afternoon : (8/24/07 1500 hrs)
I will be writing to Mr. Bell in support of Mr. Bell. What a travisty. I did not realize that we are back in the 1950's and 60's. Everyone should write the Governor via her web page and just flood her office with e-mails, faxes, letters and phone calls, in addition to the D.A's office. These young men do not deserve what is happening to them. WE are praying for them! Jeffrey in Los Angels California.

For people who want more information on the Jena6 please see www.whileseated.org This is an excellent website and shows pictures,video and audio on Jena6 story from all over. I did a search and this site had the most detail information
I just can't believe this is happening. I did not hear anything about this in my local news. I will be contacting them to get some updates and this story out there. The BBC has done more than any american news station. That is a disgrace.

I Am So Sorry This Should Never Happen
This Has Got To Be One Of The Worst Situations Next To The Sean Bell Situation In New York. For Years We Should Have Seen This Coming. Just By Looking At The Way The Government Held Back The People Of Florida During The Election That Got Bush Elected. I Do Not Want To See A Time Where The White Man Can Try To Control Us. But Poverty And Drugs In Our Communities Have Made It Far Too Easy. We All Need To Come Together Because No Matter How Many White Friends You Have, You They Will Still Stand Together In Any Situation. Our Black Men Are Being Screwed Royally. Every Black Lawyer With Any Heart Or Kindness Should Take These Cases On Appeal, And It They Have To The Supreme Court. Once The Case Is Won. All Families Should Sue The State Government, States Attorney, Judge, And Prosecution, For Even Processing This Case Not Even Once Charging The White Boys With Anything. And Then Sue The Public Defenders Office For Not Bringing In One, Not One Witness. Oh My God. Give These Boys Their Lives Back. We Have Come So Far And Still Not Even Off The Ground Yet. They Want To Get Us In Any Way That They Can. I Feel Your Pain. Racism Is Rising And We Need To Find A Way To Stand Together Across He World. I Can Not Attend Sept.20th, But I Would Love To Be There. This Is Killing Me To Know That We Can Still Be Reemed Up The Ass Without Any Lube, As If We Are Still Trash To Them And Being Raped. Constantly Being Raped By The System. We Need Start A Fubu Across The World, For Us By Us. I Don't Want To Be The Racist, I Can Get Along Well With All People, But We Have To Start Thinking About Us Only. Look At The Education In The Inner Cities Everywhere. The Poorest I Have Ever Seen. This Is The 1st Place Where They Screw Our Children. Keeping Them Uneducated And Lost. Teaching Them To Past Some Test, When The Whole Lessons Aren't Being Learned. We Have To Start Educating Our Kids To Laws, System, Finance, Real Life Lessons. Another Thing About This Case, How In The World Was There An All White Jury? How Did That Happen? What Is Really Going On Done There?

When you hear stories like this one, you feel compelled to start out saying, "but this is 2007!" Unfortunately, the date, time, location, etc. means nothing when discrimination is alive and kicking!!!
I would like to thank Michael Baisden for putting action behind his on-air show. As a community, we can make a difference - in small and large layers. Y'all...racism is wrong in either direction...I am white and first heard about this issue yesterday while on the highway and scanning the radio dial. I came here to see how I could help, and the first thing I read is:
"No Matter How Many White Friends You Have, You They Will Still Stand Together In Any Situation." I am sure the writer feels that their experience backs up this statement, but it's not true of all of us...any more than it is true for a white to feel that way about blacks. I live in a predominantly minority neighborhood (both blacks and Latinos), and I do business in the neighborhood because I believe in supporting local people rather than Sam Walton's heirs. There are people who work in some of these businesses that make it clear that I am not welcome there, but I continue to deal with them because I believe it is the right thing to do. Mychal, I am willing to house the young man and his family if the decision is favorable. As you have stated they would most likely have to move is things come out in his favor. Also try to get him into college, if they are going to give him a scholarship. Live in the Los Angeles area. Will try and talk to the coaches at U.C.L.A. and see if he eligible. We must stop being so passive, and when it come to our children. Are the system is working against us. In the " Chirstian world as they say SATAN is hard at work and we can not sert back and let HIM take our FREEDOM away from us to big of a price have al- READY BEEN PAID. Stay strong.

[i]Dear Readers,
Who I was isn't who I am today, I choose to walk a diffrent path, So feel free to throw at me the stones of my past. I want deny them but gladly recieve them and use them to humble myself. For today, tomorrow and for every more my sheild is of the Lord and It's because of who he is and the blood that he shed for all of *US* I no longer have to run from my past but I can embrace it and walk patiently towards my future. Also "Remember" (Psalm 91) I do and with my all period....... * This is for all of us that have had a stone or more thrown at us. * It is for the individuals that continue to strive for the best in life. * It is for all of whom that had or is going to have someone we care for throw a stone at us. Family, friends, co-workers, ex's, etc.... * It is for all of those that reached the top and continue to move up as others continue to throw stones at you. * This is for all of us that will over come the stones and move forward toward a greater position. * And this is for all of yall the can't see what your doing by throwing stones. Maybe your see well enough to stop and help that special person climb. And if not we we'll continue to pray for you any ways. PS Please forward to all that have been hurt by the stone throwers and let them know some times we have those small set backs for a major come back....
