I started my own film production company here in Atlanta in July of 2006. Below is information on my first feature film and I promise all of you that this film will touch anyone that see it when it's released. Please read carefully and click on the links to see the teaser trailers.

Synopsis:

This is the story of a former cop and how his deadly actions tear apart a close-knit family one tragic day. It's a story of high hopes and dreams and the untimely loss of innocent life. The startling conclusion will cause you to question our justice system and the value it places on human life.

Treatment Letter:

The best way to tell you about my project is to tell you how I came up with idea to do it. Being fascinated with such movie as, A Time To Kill and Capote, I decided to write a film about two mothers struggling to create a better life, not only for themselves, but their children as well.

Naomi Nixon, a fifty year mother of three, and Latoya Nixon, a twenty four year old mother of two have both started overcoming societal issues and are looking forward to the life they both imagined they’d never have. To protect her children from the many dangers of city life, Naomi takes her children from the mean streets of New Jersey to the quiet security of a small town in South Carolina to move in with her mother, Sylvia. Latoya, Sylvia’s granddaughter, and her two sons live there as well.

Is Jamestown , South Carolina really safer than New Jersey ? This small town is governed by a sixty eight year old cop who has it in for Naomi’s nineteen year old cousin Lorenzo, who is a high school drop out and known drug dealer, but wants to return to school and get his G.E.D.

On the morning of November 28, 2003, the morning after Thanksgiving , Latoya, having been approved for her very own apartment earlier in the week, left her sons packing to walk to Lorenzo’s house to use his truck. Naomi’s fifteen year old daughter, Melissa, wants to help so she follows. Twenty minutes later, the three are standing near the highway talking as the sixty eight year old cop comes driving up, aiming a .12 gauge rifle at Lorenzo. As he instructs the girls to run away, one shot goes off. Lorenzo is shot in the face but lives. This is a .12 gauge at close range, as Latoya and Melissa run away, they too are shot and instantly killed from the spreading pellets. All three are hit with one shot, and now the family has to deal with the murderous cop in court.

What if I reveal that everything I said here is true?:( It really happened to my family and that is what my script is about. A real story about real people struggling in the south.

I am still seeking investors to make this film happen. If any of you know of anyone that will at least take a look at what I have, that'd be great. I do have an entertainment attorney that's working very closely with me and she'd be glad to speak to anyone more in detail. Not only is my film a true story, but it will also have an impact on society because the officer who shot them is only serving eighteen months in prison. That’s right, eighteen months.

True events are a tremendous source of material. Whether presented in documentary form or dramatized, true events have a natural resonance. Audiences seem drawn to true stories, which in turn provide excellent marketing opportunities. True stories cannot be owned by anyone. The first amendment grants the filmmaker (me) the right to tell a story using his own expression.

For the guerilla filmmaker, many true stories need to be told to promote ideas and impact society. Given these positive attributes, true stories are a natural source of material. A movie such as Boy’s Don’t Cry, which highlights rape and murder, is compelling because of the awful truth it reveals. As such, the filmmaker had a story she needed to tell and it gained world wide recognition.

I am a Black American Indian and Christian woman who would like to do a movie; using the King James Holy Bible and the version I experienced just prior to the first Million Man March.

Using the Bible I can prove 1) God Almighty is actually a God-dess, both our Father and Mother or a Holy Hostess.

2) S/He sent her Son Jesus Christ to save man from themselves,

3) But the reason God forsook only He/r only begotten Son was to Save Her Lunatic Daughter, Satan who is actually Jesus' twin Sister, Espoused Wife; and God's Dark Mysterious Angel.

The movie will be in two parts; the bible part and present day life; which results in a Woman coming forth; before the Supreme Court; as Satan in the Flesh. She claims to be damaged by all the Christians who keep blaming their sins on Her; and comes in the Name of the Lord Ms. Christ; to collect His Rent. That as the daughter of God; she too is entitled to at least 1/3 credit for every penny that has "In God We Trust" depicted upon it.

Satan comes; and throws the Bible back into Court; claiming the Judges have Breached their Contract, Promise, and Oaths sworn on the bible. She takes the stand; puts her hand on the Bible; and promises to tell the whole Truth, and nuthing but the Truth so Help Her God; This Time. Her defense is that She is like Oliver North; a Good and Evil Angel or Agent whose been working for God All Along.

I would like Mya Angelou, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to have the major roles; so if you think such a movie can be done; please help me do so. Any suggestions would help. And yes it's already been copyrighted.

Hey, guys...

Not many people who listen to the Michael Baisden Show are starting their own TV network, but we are!

It's called Indie Dish. It will be a forum for independent artists of all types, (music, films, tv) and also screenwriters, producers, directors, animators etc. to showcase their various talents and increase their exposure. We're taking the concept of an MTV, BET, VH1, HBO, etc, and bringing it to the local level, and it is all black owned and operated. We are presently seeking high quality video content from all independent artists. If they do not have it and want it, we can produce it for them!

We are also giving small local advertisers a chance to be on TV that may have been out of their reach in the past, while simultaneously reaching an audience that they may not have been able to reach before.

We'll be debuting in the Atlanta area, on Comcast channel 150 in early October (set for this Saturday, October 6, 8pm) where we will be available to approximately 500,000 Comcast subscribers in the metro Atlanta area, with plans to expand to every major market in the country, and eventually offering a package of several original channels.

My career has been put on hold for the last 5 years due to a drunk driver
I was living in LA but had to depart for Maryland, anyway I have been writing scripts for my black actors and actresses, I have 3 finished scripts and 4 scripts that are almost done in my head.
