I like it when I see Outreach Ministry because mostly that means they r out and beyond the 4 walls and helping saving souls and lives. This usually means they show the love of God through servicing the people. whereever the need is they r there to help or provide resources. There is so much to do in the Kingdom and most of these churches r nothing more than cults. They have their people scared and just dumb. Many don't really know what is really going on among the people. People r hurting and dying. Meanwhile we have churches operating as it is a uppety social club. It's a country club. It's become a place where the rich can send their kids to academies. Sure we need better schools but we need affordable free public schools. if u don't attend their schools or other things attatched to the ministry u just don't matter. You r insignificant. The preacher don't even know you never the other ministers and fellow members. I personally don't like the operation of organzed religion. Most of these churches r not operating under the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit don't want no part of it neither do I! But I commend thosse preachers that r operating under the love Of the Holy Spirit. The churches that actually have real worship and servicing. Most r nothing but money and prestige and hide behind the Bible. Throughout the Bible God did rebuke the devil, church folk an so forth. Keep it real. I am a follower of Christ and not mere man. It's time for us to wake up and repent and turn their lives over to the Lord.

Hi Michael Baisden,
This came from my Local Pastor Rabbi Carr.
America only understands Diamonds, Dollars and Distruction. His suggestion (and he thinks the March on the 20th is a great start) is to put our money where our mouths are.
If we would stop our purchases of luxury items and stick with the necessaities, water, food, gas, utitlities, mortgage. No new clothes, no new shoes, etc, during the upcoming holiday season, the economic impact wold be extraordinary.
Purchase JUST THE NECESSITIES, and explain to our children that we are taking a stand for them and for their future and that is why WE WILL NOT SELL OUR SOULS for material gains, nor will we continue to be PLAYED FOR FOOLS by continuing to finacially support a system that cares nothing of the welfare of everyone.
Just our local pastor's suggestion for what we can do after the march and IF the establishment continues its exploitation of us. I am rep-ing, First Tabernacle, Church of God and Saints of Christ, Washington, DC.

Much love and respect to those churches esp the one on Memorial Drive in Atlanta Ga. This church is a church that has a HOMELESS SHELTER or transition homes. I saw it on Youtube and was deeply touched. Memorial Drive is infested with homelessness and poverty aldo drugs and crime but thiis church is in the mist of of it all. I see alot of people giving praise to preachers and that is fine. But these preachers and ministers have to really be bold and get out and work. Some r just hiding in the church and preaching to choir. Jesus was out and about making a difference. I called Eddie Long Church and as big as that church is and many members they don't have a shelters for the homeless. They will refer you gladly to other resources and facilities that is mostly not affiliated with church. Sadly, this is the response of many churches and leaders small and large.
Mike think about this. I had to think about it. With those who r so loyal to their preacher and church. They r there every Sunday but the preacher don't even know u. what if u died and u needed your church to do the eulogy he, he couldn't say anything personal about u because he never knew u. Never took the time to get to know u and many more. What good is that preacher when he is just being a hypocrite himself. He knows nothing of the decease. Come on this stupid stuff has been going on forever and it's ashame. It is almost comical!

I have to agree with your Pastor, we spend most if not all of our disposable income on things that we really don't need. While we're spending the people who own the companies are getting richer. Many people are living a life of luxury when many others spend every dime that they have to feel as if they too are living large. Many people don't realize the amount of money that they'll save if they start practicing this principle.:)

First of all funerals are for the living not the dead. Any flowery things or personal tributes should come from family and friends. The pastor is not called to be your "friend" but to teach and preach the gospel that will lead us to eternal life. It is impossible for a pastor to know all of his members intimately unless they are involved in ministry as he is. If the was involved in ministry it is impossible for the pastor not to know them.
In conclusion, if you want the pastor to speak of you as if he knows you, get involved in what matters, ministry. Otherwise stop looking for the pastor to be your buddy. signed ministry worker

Hey Family,
My pastor (a young brother...39), Dr. Dwayne Brown of the Jerusalem Missonary Baptist Church in Canton, Ohio, has brought Jena 6 to our attention. Since we cannot be there on the 20th, he has us wearing black, praying and fasting for those who will be there in Jena. On September 29th pastor will be challeging the men of the church to give money in support of the efforts. He has also challeged us to get with the 50 Million Pound Challenge. Knowing him there is more to come. Giving him a shout out
God bless,
Eddie Watkins (and family)
