Creative director and Founder Michele Thompkins is an independent consultant in PR and Management to the music industry. She obtained her degree in computer information systems from the Southwest College and proceeded to Lemoyne Owen College to study business management. She has 7 years experience in press, marketing and event management knowledge of various music and the industry. Her expertise lies in artist development and promotions, Press and PR campaigns.
Michele is the protégé of marketing and promotions guru TC Thompkins. Being raised in the industry exposed Michele to the raw nature of the music business. Michele has been blessed with a unique nack when it comes to selecting a hit. Michele has been a music fan since she was young. Her parents worked in the music industry since she was born. Her mother worked as an administrative assistant at Stax Records and her father. At the tender age of 10 Michele would help her father select the singles to be released from many well known music artists. Michele’s selection in hits ranged from Bill Withers single “Lovely Day”, Patti Labelle’s ‘If You Only Knew” and many more.

Michele‘s firm is associated with Thompkins Marketing for product placement. Through this relationship we have access to national distribution deals through Select O Hits, IDN and AENT, which are three of the largest independent music distributors in the country.

Michele Thompkins set up her own product management and PR Consultant Company “Protégé Entertainment” in 2006. Previously she worked for 3 years at G&R Productions in Artist Development. Here she managed a wide portfolio of music artists including; Teddy Riley, Guy, Wrecks N Effect, the Redhead Kingpin, Zan and Abstract. Other projects also included promotions for Jazz artist Darrell Barnes of Nappy Head Records. The Darrell Barnes project helped Michele establish a ground market in the Jazz community. Short Story: Several times I've been approached by married men looking to hook up with ME! Many times the situation turns into one in which I'm questioning the reason they're looking for someone else when they have a wife at home. It ends up becoming a free consultation session for him because I'd rather see him focused on the one he's with instead of chasing after someone else. Morally speaking, I simply don't consider married men as a dating option and I am not a fan of cheaters--- Reasons for the straying, well that's a story for the MB show to cover because it varies, but it can be resolved if both people are willing to listen, communicate and compromise! In such scenarios, I've often had those same men come back to me and say, "you know what, I'm glad you said that; that was good advice" or "I tried what you said and it worked, thanks for the tip." Sometimes it's just, "I'm going to try that and see if it works." So here I am, doing what I do best!

I had one customer say to me recently, "if people could just see the hours, effort and passion that you put into these baskets..." It was because I designed a Romantic Anniversary Basket (30th Anniversary) that took four hours to make. It was wrapped in Satin, pleated and draped like a simple white wedding dress and decorated with white flowers and a black rhinestone bow tie on each side of the handle.

Simply stated, I do more than sell a product, I listen to people, customers or not and I create, design, and pick products accordingly.

I work with many of Central GA’s models, recording artists and labels. I also work with solo guitarists and bands. I can help you with the entire design of your album cover and graphics for the inserts. Do not hesitate to ask about this even if your budget is low. We help you with everything, from the concept to art direction to individual styling (what helps work for you in particular) and give you tips to ensure that in the future you grow as a talent.

Due to my experience, I have learned to shoot fashion in evolving settings (fashion/hair shows, on location photoshoots, etc.). Remember you DO NOT have to be a model to enjoy amazing pictures. I work with all types of people, moms, girlfriends, teenagers, couples, musicians, aspiring actors, models as well as established clients. I will help you with your needs and make sure your shoot is a relaxed and memorable experience. Shooting with me puts you one step ahead of many. As I am currently working very closely to build my own while networking with many of the magazines. I also work with managers, music video, and casting directors. Don't sleep on this because hey, you only live once so do it and do it in style.

I am not here to sell you on any GIMMICKS, or am I here to rip you off, I went through that when I was first starting out! I will only advise you on what the true reality is of your photography venture. Regardless of shape or size I can help you achieve what you need. My photography is something you can be proud to show.
